Murano glass freeform, twist lamp in the manner of Flavio Poli. The base of purple summerso glass with blue ribs was formed with a quick half twist. It has the appearance of being still molten and about to collapse. Flavio Poli designed lamps like this for Seguso. Made in Italy: 1950s. 6" base, 19" to top of socket, 29" overall height. Why is there a duck stoppering this glass decanter? Why not? This a good decanter for wine because wider neck makes it easy to clean. The glass has a rustic look, like Mexican glass and the head is semi gloss nickel. 9" diameter, 13" tall.
