Guild Master antiqued end table. The hand made, round, accent table you see here the result of days of work by several artisans. First came the turning of the legs and carving of florets, beads, recessed squares and other patterns into the carefully selected, kiln dried hard wood. Next a dark stain followed by painting, glazing and application of silver leaf. Finally removing the finish to create a perfectly distressed and weathered heirloom. 24" diam. x 28" hgt.
This tray-on-stand is another very cool accent table for you. The removable, round top is satiny figured mahogany veneer and the stand has mahogany faux bamboo legs with floral brass caps and brass spanners. The only decoration on this striking Mid-Century Modern console table is painted gold, that runs up the insides of the legs and across the center of the apron on each side, but note how the legs taper ever so sightly at the feet. Three drawers are flush and without hardware. Made of a richly grained, dark gold (fruit?)wood. Most likely a fruit wood. We are told the console table was custom made, but the maker's name is forgotten. It appears to be hand crafted and of very high quality. Late 20th C. 60" x 20" x 28".

Cocktail table in the style of George Nakashima. Nakashima (1905-1990) was a poetic craftsman whose furniture "revealed the soul of the tree." His style was to show off the grain, burls and whorls in a plank of wood and leave the “free edge,” or natural contour, of the slab un-planed. This spellbinding walnut table on wire legs is sealed and polished but otherwise natural. 1970's (?) Freeform shape 48" x 30" x 18"

Knoll Platner Table
Of the great talents who have designed for Knoll and the extraordinary designs they made, my favorite is Warren Platner decorative, gentle, graceful wire collection. Platner's 1966 wire chairs and tables marked a shift in modern design toward the gracious. Lots of other people must like them because they are still in production. Polished nickel coated steel wire with beveled glass top. 36" diameter, 18" tall.
McGuire “Target” dining set. The timeless design is by Elinor McGuire and is a beautiful choice for a coastal home with its casual aesthetic vibe done in two shades of rattan and blond wood. Table 38” x 38” x 30-76” long when open. 4 side chairs 20” x 22” x 36 with embossed ostrich pattern leather.
Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe and Julia Reich designed the Barcelona chair in 1929 and, it has been the touchstone for modern design ever since. This version has slightly different dimensions but is made with the same materials and methods of the original. Cast steel frame (no welds) hand tailored leather cushions, cowhide Genuine leather cushions with matching strapping, chrome finished frames. 29.5" W x 30" D x 30" H.
Paul McCobb was a leading designer of the Mid-Century Modern movement. He favored thin vertical elements supporting larger horizontal parts. Jens Risom Mid-Century Cocktail Table.
Risom (Danish-American: 1916-2016) was one of the first proponents of Scandinavian design in North America. His elliptical walnut coffee table has shallow, arched brows between the legs.
